Teaching Observations
Improve your teaching skills with the help of FDU's confidential in-class observations. These observations provide you with a reflective opportunity to assess your teaching and identify areas for improvement. Before the observation, you may specify your objectives and focus areas, such as:
- Classroom management
- Content clarity and organization
- Presentation skills
- Teaching methods
- Technology use
After the session, FDU will provide feedback on your strengths and areas for growth. Observations are conducted only upon your request, and are kept confidential. Request a teaching observation at any time during the semester by contacting the Faculty Development Manager, Dr. Bouchra Bakach.
To arrange for an observation, simply email us. We will coordinate with you to schedule the observation according to your needs and preferences. Please note that observations typically do not take place during the first or last two weeks of the semester, and that you should contact us at least one week in advance to confirm our availability.
We look forward to working with you to improve your teaching skills and achieve your professional growth aspirations!
